Beni Ouarain "Solid Cream"

Plain cream from end to end, with no line, border or motif. What the photographs show instead is the pile: thick, slightly uneven in length, and changing tone with the direction of the light. A fringe closes one short end.

At 320 × 210 cm it gives a large, soft surface for a living room or bedroom and leaves every decision about colour to the furniture. A plain pale rug shows spills and footprints sooner than a patterned one, so it belongs in a room where shoes come off.
