About Beni Mguild rugs

Beni Mguild rugs are named after a confederation of Amazigh (Berber) tribes in the Middle Atlas, in the region of Azrou. Where Beni Ourain rugs are pale, these are deep in colour: burgundy, wine red, indigo.

The pile is thick and the wool heavy, made for mountain winters. A rug like this sets the tone of a room, so it works best with calm furniture and plain walls.

Most are clearly longer than they are wide, a shape that fits beside a bed, in front of a long sofa or in a wide hall.

For sale today: 11 rugs, from 238 × 152 cm to 402 × 220 cm, priced from €2,708 to €5,815.

Every rug comes with a certificate of origin that names the weaver. Shipping, import duties and taxes are included in the price, and you have 14 days after delivery to decide.
