Beni Mguild "Cobalt Minimal"

Hundreds of small signs in red, orange and cream stand in rows on a cobalt blue ground, each set in a dark outline, so the field looks studded. At one end the blue gives way to a band of grey with red and white triangles; a dark border runs along the sides. The pile is long and the colours are deep.

The wool rug is 387 × 195 cm, close to four metres long. It needs a room with length: a long living room, a wide hallway or a loft where it can be seen whole.
