Beni Mrirt "Striped Sage"

Cream bars on sage grey. The bars stand upright in three rows across the rug, and each row is shifted against the next, so the eye moves in steps rather than straight lines. A narrow cream edge frames the field. The close-up shows a deep, dense pile in which the two colours meet with a soft edge.

At 309 × 270 cm the rug is nearly square. That proportion suits a square living room, a dining table for six to eight, or a bedroom where it should reach well beyond the bed on all sides.
