Tuareg "Desert Nomad"

The Tuareg mat unfolds in monumental proportions, with vertical bands of caramel and charcoal in a calm, rhythmic composition. It is made entirely by hand by Tuareg artisans of the Mauritanian Sahara: natural reed fibres woven into a dense, supple surface and framed in camel leather.

Measuring 390 × 220 cm, mats like this were laid on the sand under nomad tents, which is why they are built to last. Indoors it brings texture and warmth to living rooms, studios and covered terraces, and sits naturally beside wood, linen and plaster. Free international delivery.
