Tuareg "Sahara Weave"

This Tuareg mat is covered in an all-over lattice of diamonds in warm brown, a precise geometric pattern that gives the surface real depth. It is made entirely by hand by Tuareg artisans of the Mauritanian Sahara: natural reed fibres woven tightly and bound in camel leather, as these mats have been made for generations.

At 379 × 242 cm it is a large, grounding piece, first made to line nomad tents against the sand. Indoors its warm palette and fine geometry suit living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with natural materials. Free international delivery.
