Beni Ouarain "Quiet Signs"

A cream field is marked with only a few signs in soft charcoal: clusters of short horizontal strokes, a single upright line and a small open vessel shape near the top. The marks are sparse and unevenly placed, like notes left in a margin, and the rest of the surface is given over to deep, undyed wool.

At 300 × 213 cm, this Beni Ouarain rug was hand-knotted in the Middle Atlas of Morocco. Its minimal vocabulary works in calm, contemporary rooms, from open living spaces to bedrooms, where it adds warmth and texture without asking for attention. Free international delivery.
