Azilal "Garden Script"

Looping lines in leaf green and rose pink wander across an ivory field, turning back on themselves like handwriting in an unknown alphabet. A few small green triangles sit near the base, and the open spaces between the strokes give the drawing room to breathe.

At 310 × 208 cm, this contemporary Azilal rug was hand-knotted in Morocco's Atlas Mountains from thick natural wool. The loose, calligraphic composition brings movement and colour to a living room or bedroom while keeping an airy, light-filled character that suits white walls and pale wood.
