Beni Ouarain "Twin Triangles"

Two small triangles in black and crimson sit at the top corners of a wide ivory field, answered at the foot by two thin, tent-like outlines. Everything else is open wool, so the few marks feel deliberate and graphic, like a signature at either end of the rug.

At 315 × 200 cm, this Beni Ouarain rug was hand-knotted in the Middle Atlas of Morocco from undyed sheep's wool with a thick, soft pile.
