Beni Ouarain "Drawn Lattice"

Charcoal lines cross an ivory ground in the classic Beni Ouarain lattice, each diamond slightly different in width and angle, which gives the grid a lively, hand-drawn character. At the foot of the rug the lines break into a looser row of crosses and chevrons, a small signature of the weaver.

At 300 × 205 cm, this rug was hand-knotted in Morocco's Atlas Mountains from undyed sheep's wool with a plush, medium-high pile. It is the most versatile of Moroccan designs, at home in modern, Scandinavian and mid-century rooms alike. Free international delivery.
